DIY: jar vase.

i having been trying to pick up more DIY [do it yourself] projects since graduation. especially since kara and i moved a couple of months ago and we have been sprucing up the house.

we have been trying to go for an anthropologie feel in the new place [i love this store so much. more on that later...], and i wanted to find a new little something to add to my bedroom.

behold, an old jar vase! i think it can really add a lot to a room. see below for full instructions...

what you need...an old jar [i used an old peach jar], fake or real flowers, scissors, and some string.

Photobucket
soak the jar in water for about 20-30 minutes and remove the label.

Photobucket
cut the string and tie it around the jar. then cut the flowers [i used fake ones from michaels] to the appropriate length to fit in the jar.

ta da! a cute antiquey yes i just made that word up accessory to add that little something to your space.
